UGANDA: MOMMA'S TESTIMONY

We took four fatherless children to see their Momma at the mental hospital.

I have never seen a prison camp, but it reminded me of those seen in war movies.

I was not allowed to take photos and for privacy I will not post photos of the kids or Momma.

This was a place that contradicts the Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond all my imagination.

It was surrounded by a high fence with barbed wire.

Inside the main gate were many long rectangular buildings each having their own yards surrounded by high fences.

This place was divided in three sections: one for men, one for women and one for children. The thought of children here was too much to even accept, yet their are tormented people of all ages.

People were everywhere. Some just sitting or lying on the grass doing nothing but staring or sleeping, some talked on and on, and others roamed around lost and more.

Momma came out and sat with us on the ground.

I had met Momma on a previous visit to Uganda. She saw and recognized me, which encouraged me as I wanted to speak to her.

I sat very close to her and put my arm around her. I felt soooooooo much love and compassion from the Lord toward her.

He showed me that it was not her mind that was first broken. Her real suffering is a broken heart that has affected her mind. I felt it deep in my spirit.

Momma's husband died in the war. She has been through many hardships and under alot of stress trying to provide for her family. Momma has been working far away and is only able to come home one week a month to see her children. The stress and heartache has been great upon her for a long time.

The scripture the Lord gave me for Momma is this:

Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to BIND UP THE BROKENHEARTED, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

[2] To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

[3] To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

As I spoke to Momma she seemed dazed from medication, but she understood me and what the Lord was saying to her. She responded correctly to everything she heard.

Her son prepared food for her. She ate her meal and enjoyed visiting with her children.

Afterwards we anointed her with oil and prayed in unity over her. I read the scripture from Isaiah 61 to her. The Lord prophetically spoke his word, love and encouragement to her.

She understood the message and made strong confessions of faith. She welcomed afresh the Lord Jesus Christ into all as Lord and Savior. She confessed to Jesus and Father that she knows their love. Then she said: "I love you Jesus. I love you God."

It was all very beautiful and you could feel the love and presence of God.

By faith I knew she was well in the Lord Jesus Christ and we would get a good report.

Mamma's doctor said she was in bad condition and would not be able to come home until Christmas or possibly longer.

Ten days after we visited Momma, the same doctor that gave the bad report called her son. He said your Mom is well and coming home on Monday.

Praise the Lord!!! Momma came home this past week by the power and glory of God through Jesus Christ. 🙌🙏🙌

Please keep this family in prayer they have big financial needs. Momma owns a small building and would like to put a small restaurant or store in it for income but needs capital to start.

We are in prayer and faith to raise funds for Momma's business.

I trust God to bless them with a new beginning and wonderful future
