THANKFUL TO BE ABLE TO HELP
God gave us a wonderful opportunity to help and bless a family in need, whom we love.
Brian is the oldest son of four children (see photos of him with me and his siblings). His father died, and his mother works very hard to support her children.
She works far away (it is the only work she can find). One week a month she is able to come home.
Brian (who is an adult) cares for his younger siblings. He is senior six level in school (equal to a senior in high school in the USA). He is the top student in his class and wants to go to university to study engineering.
Brian's family often faces challenging times to keep food on the table. There is very little funds, though his Mom works and does all she is able for her children.
I often receive greeting messages from Brian, but today was different. As soon as I saw his greeting, I heard the Lord say: "Brian has no food."
Brian will never ask you for food or help. I have learned to rely on the Lord to let me know.
On this day I asked Brian about their food supply. He said they had no food, but it was fine for him. He worried about the younger children.
All this information came minutes before I was sending support money to our organization in Uganda. I was able to add assistance for Brian and his siblings by the grace of God.
It was late in Uganda when they received support, but they were able to get bread to eat that night. Now they have bought food at the market and are having good meals.
We are thankful for each and every person we can bless and help in time of need.
WE GIVE THANKS & PRAISE TO GOD!
Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.
